After its success in 2021, we are back with our Payments BBQ on September 8th.

Doors open at 15h30 to meet with your peers, and listening to a couple of live inspiration sessions, followed by an exclusive BBQ in De Warande, Brussels. Our expert speakers will share insights and discuss the latest trends in payments on stage to continue to exchange ideas after the sessions at the BBQ.

The theme this year, and also the title of our keynote's speech, is "Balancing the P&L in Payments", where we will look at the importance of:

  • The revenue opportunities in payments
  • Mutualisation of services in payments

    About our speakers

    Gottfried Leibbrandt is a member of the supervisory board of CLS Group and the advisory board of Yes.comand a senior advisor at McKinsey. In addition, he is the author of the book: “The payoff: how changing the way we pay changes everything” (published in 2021 with co-author Natasha de Terán).

    He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Swift from 2012-2019. Prior to his role as Chief Executive Officer, he held several roles within Swift, including Head of Marketing, Head of Standards and Director of Strategy and Business Development.

    Before joining Swift, Gottfried was a Partner at McKinsey where he focused on financial institutions, specifically payments and transactions.

    He received an MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, holds an MA in Econometrics and Statistics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a PhD in Economics from University of Maastricht.

    Tom Lambrecht is the CEO for Sopra Banking Software in BeNeLux and The Nordics. Over the past 20 years he has been working in business development roles and Chief Commercial Officer role, with experience in the banking and IT domains. He got interested in financial technology within IT consulting company Ordina, where he began to focus on consulting for the banking industry.

    Afterwards, he developed expertise knowledge on payments during his 5 years at Clear2Pay (now FIS). At Sopra Banking Software, he guides discussions with banks on how to tackle their business challenges on a wide range of topics, such as digital transformation, core banking transformation, payments and lending.

    Cassy Ramsey is a consultant and independent Non-Executive Director currently serving on the Board of Directors of Mercury TFS (part of PagoNXT / Grupo Santander) and Bank Degroof Petercam, where she chairs the IT Committee and serves on the Audit, Risk, and Nomination Committees.

    Prior to working as an iNED, Cassy held a variety of senior positions in several global financial services companies, including Grupo Santander and Citi, with responsibility for IT and Operations, Data Governance, and Business Transformation.
