Date: 30 June 2026
Outline:
Banks have moved from GenAI experimentation into real deployment pressure: measurable productivity targets, rising customer expectations, and fast-evolving supervisory focus. At the same time, agentic approaches are shifting what “automation” means, towards goal-driven orchestration across processes, not isolated use cases.
Before we officially launch our latest white paper, we invite you to a LIVE recording of The Banking Scene Director's Cut, where Andrew will present an early preview of this quarter's research and he and Rik will discuss some of the key insights that came out of it.
Topics include:
• Control and accountability: how banks can evidence who/what made a decision when workflows are partially autonomous
• Operational resilience: how agent behaviour, tool access, and third-party dependencies impact organisations
• Risk transfer: where risk moves when decisions are pushed into orchestration layers, vendor tooling, or AI-enabled ops teams
• Governance at scale: how model risk management evolves when the “system” is agents + tools + prompts + policies + data
• Value realism: what benefits are proving tangible (or fragile) once pilots hit production constraints
• Workforce redesign: which roles get augmented vs rebuilt, and what “human-in-the-loop” actually looks like in practice
Strategic and Growth members will be notified in advance of The Banking Scene LIVE sessions, which will include joining instructions. We encourage you to join us LIVE to ask our experts questions directly and get personally involved in the discussions. Guest(s): Nicola Breyer, Open Finance Expert Advisor, Open Finance Ecosystem.
Outline: "Are we there yet?". Are we still debating if we should, instead of implementing what we can? How do we (the Benelux Banks) stack up against the rest of the world and what can we learn from them? Is regulation a help or a hindrance? We have so many questions and we are sure you do too, which is why we've invited Nicola Breyer, an internationally recognised expert on open data and embedded finance, who frequently speaks and publishes on the topic, to help us set the scene before we begin our Q3 research.
Nicola is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in building, transforming, and growing organisations, particularly in the tech sector.
Early in her career, she established three financial services businesses during the emerging internet age and became Managing Director of her first company at 26. Her venture capital experience sparked a passion for working with portfolio companies. She gained extensive operational expertise in the FMCG sector, managing numerous global growth markets with different go-to-market models.
Since 2016, Nicola has held Managing Director and C-level roles in financial services and tech companies, including a leadership position at PayPal. Recently, she has served as CEO and Managing Director in BaFin-licensed businesses, focusing on international strategy, business transformation, fundraising, regulation, organisational setup, product strategy, marketing, sales, HR, and C-level team leadership.
Nicola is also an active angel investor in SaaS tech companies, serves as a Board Director for two companies, and
advises two impact VC funds. She collaborates with industry bodies, banks, insurers, and regulators to shape the future open data economy.

Outline:
The Benelux financial sector faces a decisive moment. Instant payments have become ubiquitous, Verification of Payee is fully operational, and a new generation of scams is being industrialised through artificial intelligence. Fraud is no longer defined merely by technical vulnerabilities, but by behavioural manipulation, identity trust gaps, cross-border information asymmetries, and the criminal weaponisation of payment speed.
Before we officially launch our latest white paper, we invite you to an exclusive webinar LIVE recording of The Banking Scene Director's Cut, where Rik and Andrew will discuss the strategic shift required to combat modern financial crime.
Topics include:
Defending a single institution in isolation is a strategy destined for failure. The challenge is collective, and so must be the response.

Date & Time: 17 March 2026 | 12:00 - 13:00 CET
Guest(s): Chris Skinner, CEO, The Financer | Global Best-Selling Author | Troublemaker
Outline: Agentic AI is rapidly moving from concept to reality. While generative AI has already transformed how banks think about productivity and customer interaction, the next wave is emerging: AI agents that can reason, act, and collaborate to execute complex tasks autonomously.
But what will this actually mean for banking?
Will AI agents become digital colleagues?
Will they redefine customer interaction?
Will they reshape operations, risk management, and product development?
And perhaps most importantly: what will the banking industry get right—and what will it get completely wrong?
In this interactive webinar, Chris Skinner, Andrew Vorster, and Rik Coeckelbergs will explore the future of Agentic AI in banking through a highly engaging format: a live quiz show built around bold predictions.
Participants will be invited to vote, react, and challenge the panel through live polls and comments as we explore a series of provocative statements about the future of AI-driven banking.
