The Banking Scene Events
#TBSARTNIGHT23, November 20, Bozar, Brussels

Sprouted after the pandemic, The Banking Scene Art Night became the must-go evening event of The Banking Scene, welcoming 130 attendees last year, of which 50% were from the banking industry.
“Augmented Empathy” is this year’s theme, building on last year’s “Mirrors of Society”. With the rise of AI, we will investigate how new technology can enable better conversations and a better understanding between financial institutions and their clients. What are the opportunities and how to realise these opportunities to augment a bank's empathy towards the end client?
The speakers
Our first headline speaker is Ghela Boskovich, Head of Europe for the Financial Data and Technology Association, who we asked to step out of her comfort zone and think about what Augmented Empathy means to her, a challenge she happily accepted, especially after hearing how we will integrate the art element this year.
Bram Somers, Chief Technology Officer at Belfius, is our second confirmed speaker. He will guarantee that we can match the theme "Augmented Empathy" to what banks are effectively doing in that respect in Belgium. Nex to that, Bram holds non-executive positions at Isabel Group, Payconiq International and Pi Square.
Bart Hamers, Director Analytics and AI at BNP Paribas Fortis, is an experienced manager with more than 20 years experience in Data and Artificial Intelligence. At BNPParibasFortis he manages the Center of Excellence on Analytics and Artificial Intelligence overseeing portfolio of analytics products, with a strong focus on machine learning and AI, and creating breakthrough technologies in Marketing Analytics, NLP, Chatbots, Computational Process Optimisation and Analytical Fraud and Risk Management. He is responsible for defining and implementing the bank’s AI Strategy with a strong focus on value creation. In his role as head of AI, he is also a permanent member of the Data Department reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer.
Jasna Rokegem, Founder of Jasna Rok Lab and the "Opera on Brainwaves". As a visionary and creative pioneer, Jasna Rokegem is the perfect public speaker to inspire your audience and take them on a journey into the future, introducing them to new trends and opening up a world of new possibilities. Her interactive keynotes and demos offer glimpses on the future, and with a Jasna Rok experience booth at your event, you can even give your participants an actual taste of the future.
The Art
Instead of a guided museum tour, we have scheduled an “Opera on Brianwaves” with soprano Emma Posman.
Thanks to her versatility and captivating personality, soprano Emma Posman has grown into a renowned soloist both in Belgium and abroad. Her particular and hybrid voice makes her feeling equally at home in more than one vocal “Fach”, switching easily from Mozart to bel-canto roles but also to the lighter soprano parts from the German romantic repertoire. In no time she made herself a name, as Winner or Laureate of Vocal Competitions in Italy, San Marino, Belgium … This summer she took at stage at Love Tomorrow for an Opera on Brainwaves 2.0.
For this Opera on Brainwaves, she worked with Jasna Rok: the project is a boundary-pushing artistic collaboration in which the world of opera collides with the worlds of fashion, technology, and science. For this unique project, they joined forces to combine the beauty of a highly regarded and established art form with cutting-edge technology.
Through a process of research and prototyping, they will create an extraordinary piece that will link the emotions of the singer and the audience through neuroscience and heartbeats. It will be a new and groundbreaking emotional nakedness on stage.
Mingle among your peers during the reception and exquisite walking dinner. Doors open at 15h, and close around 22h. This event will take place on November 20, 2023.
You will meet at least 150 professionals open for stirring conversations and your smart business pitch.
