Valérie Hoess is Head of European Affairs at Commerzbank AG. Before taking over this role in January 2024, she was Head of Digital and AML Policy at Deutsche Bank AG and responsible for the banks' positioning in the regulatory and political dialogue on topics related to innovation and technology. Since 2017, Valérie has been driving the bank’s positioning and recommendations to contribute to an effective and efficient regulatory framework for innovation in the EU and globally, with particular focus on AI, cloud, data, cyber and operational resilience.
She holds a Master’s degree in German and European Business Law, as well as a degree in Business Administration and is a regular speaker at conferences.
