Simon Boonen – Fintech partnership lead at ING. In this role, Simon explores Fintech partnership opportunities for ING in the areas of Open Finance - including Open Banking, Embedded Finance, and Banking as a Service – and Digital Assets.
Prior to joining ING, Simon spent 7 years at Capgemini Consulting, working on projects and programs on Strategy, Innovation, and Transformation. As a Senior project manager, he advised and supported clients on Innovation as well as Divestment and Separation questions. In his early career, Simon gained working experience in Start- and Scale-ups. Simon has primarily worked in Europe but also in Latin America. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in International Business from Maastricht University in The Netherlands.
