Innovation in Payments: EPI and Digital Euro: missing link to a uniform European Payments Landscape?

Innovation in Payments: EPI and Digital Euro: missing link to a uniform European Payments Landscape?

Our special guest for this session is Inge van Dijk, Director Payments and Market Infrastructures at De Nederlandsche Bank.

She will talk us through the EPI and digital euro and the possible link between them. Are PSD2 and Instant Payments insufficient to create a uniform payments landscape and to make a voice against the American brands like AmEx, Mastercard, Visa and the China super apps? How can EPI solve this problem?

Must we see this in the same context as the digital euro, or are both separate initiatives with a different purpose? What problems will the digital euro solve? What is the bigger picture for Europe, Central Banks and commercial banks?

Agoria Financial Services Technology Club is a proud partner for this session.
