Banking for Good: Unravelling the complexities of financial wellbeing

With financial health high on every bank's agenda, it is no surprise that we often demand to talk about this topic. On June 17, we will have a session dedicated to financial wellbeing.

Financial wellbeing can be defined as a state of being wherein a person can fully meet current and ongoing financial obligations, feel secure in their financial future and is able to make choices that allow enjoyment of life. It is a highly personal state, not fully described by objective financial measures.

We will investigate the different elements that altogether form a person's financial wellbeing, and we'll ask ourselves if that is any different from financial wellness.

What are the existing examples that provide superior solutions to improve someone's financial health, and what can banks do to improve their services? Or should they leave it to other, independent organisations?

One of our resident members suggested having a look at ROOV, a new start-up with a clear mission: "We at ROOV believe that financial administration does not have to be boring. We are happy to help you every step of the way to get a clear overview of your income and expenses and where you can make savings. ROOV, one app to run your financial household".

Their co-founder, Frédéric Vandenhende, is excited to join us in an open debate on financial wellbeing. Prior to his ROOV adventure, Frédéric developed Investr, a platform for real estate investors.

He will be joined by Len Collier, Innovation Lead at Argenta, to allow a balanced conversation with the point of view of both fintech, bank and the many experts around the table!
