The Banking Scene Afterwork

Banking for Good: Vision by Nickel on Financial Inclusion

We open the third season with an exceptional guest, Thomas Courtois, Président of Nickel, a French neobank that saw the light in 2014. They launched with the ambition to make banking available for all, at a low cost.

In 2017, they were acquired by BNP Paribas: "The decision aligns perfectly with the Group’s objectives in terms of banking inclusion and innovation, especially since this account offers a unique service and a major innovation."

The model is so successful that today, they serve 1,8 million customers, predominantly in France.

Together with Thomas, we will figure out what made their model so successful and how they are achieving a better world for humans and society through banking, and we investigate what the future will bring for them.
