The Banking Scene Afterwork

Banking for Good: Vision by Febelfin

In this session, we talk with Karel Baert, CEO of Febelfin, the Belgian Banking Federation. Together, we'll investigate the required ingredients that can help banks to make human and society better.

We will look back at the efforts that banks already made in the past and today, and how they can ramp up their ambitions in the future.

Some of the topics we will discuss:

  • Purposeful banking in the broad sense
  • The need for diversity in the industry for a more inclusive banking strategy
  • How banks coped with the COVID-19 crisis to ensure the lowest possible financial impact for their clients, and what the long-term impact will be
  • EGS and the role of banks to create a greener, more social and positive society
